Cheesy Sausage Balls
These easy Cheesy Sausage Balls are crispy and golden on the outside, tender and savory inside, and packed with sausage and melted cheddar cheese. They’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, parties, game-day snacks, or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups biscuit baking mix, such as Bisquick
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and biscuit baking mix.
- Add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Mix thoroughly with your hands until all the ingredients are evenly combined and a soft dough forms.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 to 1½ inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the sausage is fully cooked and the outside is golden brown.
- Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Serving Tip
Serve warm with ranch dressing, honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce. They’re best enjoyed fresh and warm while the cheese is still melty.
