Crispy, golden, and perfectly juicy, these breaded chicken fillets are quick and easy to make in the air fryer. They’re perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner, served with fries, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or a little olive oil
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin, even fillets. If needed, gently pound them to an even thickness.
- Set up three shallow bowls. Place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in the third.
- Coat each chicken fillet in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, then press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture until completely coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the chicken fillets in a single layer without overlapping. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or brush with a little olive oil.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
