 PEANUT BUTTER BANANA OVERNIGHT OATS

Creamy, delicious, satisfying, and incredibly easy to prepare! These Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats take just a few minutes to put together the night before, so you can wake up to a ready-to-enjoy breakfast.

The combination of creamy peanut butter, naturally sweet banana, and hearty oats makes this an easy make-ahead breakfast you’ll want to make again and again!

 Ingredients

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk of your choice
  • ½ ripe banana, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

For Topping

  • Sliced banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • Chopped peanuts, optional
  • A drizzle of honey or maple syrup, optional

 Instructions

1. Mash the Banana

Add the ripe banana to a jar or small bowl and mash it well with a fork until mostly smooth.

2. Add the Ingredients

Add the rolled oats, milk, peanut butter, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

3. Mix Well

Stir everything together thoroughly until the oats are completely coated and the peanut butter is evenly incorporated.

Make sure there are no large pockets of peanut butter remaining.

4. Refrigerate

Cover the jar or bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.

During this time, the oats and chia seeds will absorb the milk and create a thick, creamy texture.

5. Serve

The next morning, give the oats a good stir.

If they’re too thick, add a splash of milk until you reach your preferred consistency.

Top with fresh banana slices, a drizzle of peanut butter, chopped peanuts, and a little honey or maple syrup if desired.

Enjoy cold, or warm them gently if you prefer a warm breakfast.

 Helpful Tips

  • Use a ripe banana for the best natural sweetness and banana flavor.
  • Old-fashioned rolled oats work best for a creamy but hearty texture.
  • Prepare individual jars ahead of time for an easy grab-and-go breakfast.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Add a splash of milk before serving if the oats become too thick.
