Slow Cooker Chicken Breasts with Gravy
This easy Slow Cooker Chicken Breasts with Gravy recipe is the ultimate comfort meal! The chicken turns out incredibly tender and juicy, while the rich, creamy gravy is perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite vegetables.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 packets chicken gravy mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water, optional for a thicker gravy
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken and stir the sour cream into the gravy until smooth and creamy.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, stir in the cornstarch and water mixture. Cover and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, until thickened.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker and spoon the delicious gravy over the top.
Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or vegetables.
