Baked Cinnamon Apple Fritters

Ingredients
For the Apple Fritters:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples, peeled and finely diced
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Vanilla Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fritter.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the fritters are lightly golden and cooked through.
- Brush the warm fritters with melted butter.
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle over the fritters.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle the vanilla glaze over the warm fritters and serve!
