Classic Banana Split
A classic banana split is the ultimate easy dessert—ripe bananas, creamy vanilla ice cream, chocolate and strawberry toppings, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. It’s simple, nostalgic, and perfect for a quick sweet treat!
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 scoop chocolate ice cream
- 1 scoop strawberry ice cream
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
- 1/4 cup strawberry sauce or strawberry syrup
- 1/4 cup crushed pineapple
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or walnuts
- 3 maraschino cherries
Instructions
- Prepare the bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise. Arrange the banana halves in a long banana-split dish or shallow serving bowl.
- Add the ice cream: Place the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream scoops between the banana halves.
- Add the toppings: Drizzle chocolate syrup over the chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Add strawberry sauce over the strawberry ice cream, then spoon the crushed pineapple over the top.
- Add whipped cream: Generously top each scoop with whipped cream.
- Finish with nuts: Sprinkle the chopped peanuts or walnuts over the whipped cream.
- Add the cherries: Place a maraschino cherry on top of each portion of whipped cream.
