Cream Cheese and Jam Crescent Rolls

Flaky, buttery crescent rolls filled with a sweet and creamy cheesecake-style filling and your favorite fruit jam, then baked until golden and finished with a simple vanilla glaze. These easy pastries are perfect for breakfast, brunch, holidays, or an afternoon sweet treat!

 Ingredients

For the Crescent Rolls

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough, 8 oz
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 teaspoons strawberry, raspberry, cherry, or your favorite fruit jam

For the Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Fresh berries, for serving

 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling

Place the softened cream cheese in a small bowl.

Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat or stir until completely smooth and creamy.

3. Prepare the Crescent Dough

Carefully unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.

Place the triangles on your prepared baking sheet.

4. Add the Filling

Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture over the wider end of each crescent triangle.

Add about 1 teaspoon of fruit jam on top of the cream cheese.

Don’t overfill, or the filling may leak out while baking.

5. Roll the Crescents

Starting at the wide end, gently roll each triangle toward the pointed end.

Pinch the edges lightly to help keep the filling inside.

Place the rolls with the point underneath so they don’t unravel during baking.

6. Bake

Bake for approximately 12–15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed and beautifully golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes.

7. Make the Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

Add a few extra drops of milk if you want a thinner glaze.

8. Finish and Serve

Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent rolls.

For an extra-pretty presentation, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries.

Enjoy them warm!

Tips for the Best Crescent Rolls

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened so the filling spreads easily.
  • Use thick jam or preserves rather than a very runny fruit sauce.
  • Keep the crescent dough refrigerated until you’re ready to use it.
  • Don’t overfill the rolls because the jam and cream cheese can escape during baking.
  • Try different flavors such as strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, apricot, or cherry.
  • For a richer flavor, add a little lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture.

 Flavor Ideas

Strawberry Cheesecake: Strawberry jam + cream cheese filling.

Raspberry Vanilla: Raspberry preserves + vanilla cream cheese.

Cherry Cheesecake: Cherry preserves + cream cheese + a tiny splash of almond extract.

Blueberry Lemon: Blueberry jam + lemon zest in the cream cheese filling.
