Honey Butter Skillet Corn
Ingredients
- 4 cups corn kernels, fresh or frozen
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk, optional
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
- Melt the butter: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
- Cook the corn: Add the corn kernels and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is heated through and slightly golden.
- Add the honey: Drizzle the honey over the corn and stir well so every kernel is coated.
- Make it creamy: Add the softened cream cheese and stir until completely melted and combined with the corn. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash of heavy cream or milk.
- Season: Stir in the salt and black pepper. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing all the flavors to come together.
- Finish and serve: Remove from the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately while warm.
Tips
- For extra sweetness, add another teaspoon of honey.
- For a little heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- Fresh corn gives the best flavor, but frozen corn works beautifully too.
- A little extra butter stirred in at the end makes the corn especially rich and glossy.
Sweet, buttery, creamy, and absolutely irresistible!
