Southern 4-Ingredient Hot Crab Dip
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 8 oz lump crabmeat, drained
- 1 cup garlic-and-herb soft cheese
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- Chopped fresh chives or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the garlic-and-herb soft cheese and mix until the cheeses are smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the lump crabmeat. Be careful not to break the crab into very small pieces.
- Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbling around the edges, and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped chives or parsley.
How to Serve
Serve this crab dip warm with:
- Crackers
- Toasted baguette slices
- Crostini
- Pita chips
- Tortilla chips
- Fresh vegetables
Tip: Keep it warm while serving because the cheese becomes wonderfully creamy and the crab flavor comes through best when the dip is hot.
