EASY AIR FRYER STEAK
Juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned with a deliciously browned crust, this Easy Air Fryer Steak is one of the simplest ways to make a steak at home! No grill needed—just a few basic seasonings and your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless steaks, about 1 inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 20–30 minutes.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Rub the seasoning mixture generously over both sides of the steaks.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for about 3–5 minutes.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for about 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steaks and your preferred doneness. For the most accurate result, use a meat thermometer.
- During the last minute, place a small piece of butter on each steak and let it melt over the top.
- Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps keep the juices inside.
Doneness Guide
- Medium-rare: 130–135°F
- Medium: 135–145°F
- Medium-well: 145–155°F
- Well-done: 155°F and above
