Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 8 slices deli ham
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Assemble the Rolls
- Lightly flour a clean surface and unfold the puff pastry.
- Roll it slightly into a rectangle.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the pastry if using.
- Arrange the ham slices evenly over the pastry.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly on top.
- Season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Step 3: Roll and Slice
- Starting from one long side, tightly roll the pastry into a log.
- Place the log in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
- Slice into 1-inch thick rounds.
Step 4: Bake
- Arrange the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Beat the egg with the water and brush the tops with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Step 5: Serve
- Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with honey mustard, ranch dressing, or marinara sauce.
