Ultimate Reuben Sliders
Ingredients
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 1 lb (450 g) sliced corned beef
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained well
- 1/2 cup Russian dressing (or Thousand Island dressing)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the rolls
Without separating the rolls individually, slice the entire slab of slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
3. Add the dressing
Spread half of the Russian dressing evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
4. Layer the filling
Top with:
- Half of the Swiss cheese
- All of the corned beef
- The drained sauerkraut
- The remaining Russian dressing
- The rest of the Swiss cheese
Place the top half of the rolls over the layered filling.
5. Make the buttery topping
In a small bowl, whisk together:
- melted butter
- Dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- garlic powder
- poppy seeds
Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the sliders.
6. Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Then remove the foil and bake for another 8–10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
7. Serve
Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, then cut apart and serve warm.
Tips
- Drain the sauerkraut very well so the sliders don’t get soggy.
- You can use Thousand Island dressing if you don’t have Russian dressing.
- These sliders are perfect for parties, lunch, game day, or an easy dinner.
- Serve them with pickles, chips, or a simple salad.
Optional Serving Idea
For extra deli flavor, serve with a little extra dressing on the side for dipping.
