Classic Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Paprika, for garnish
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10–12 minutes.
- Transfer eggs to an ice bath and cool completely.
- Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
- Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
- Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg white halves.
- Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
Tips
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
- Add a little pickle relish, chopped bacon, or hot sauce for a tasty variation.
