Creamy Paprika Chicken Bake
Tender chicken pieces baked in a rich, creamy cheese sauce with a touch of sweet paprika for comforting flavor in every bite. This easy family dinner comes together with just a few simple ingredients!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or chicken breasts, cut into large bite-size pieces
- 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
- 1½ teaspoons sweet paprika, plus extra for garnish
- 1½ cups shredded mild cheese (Monterey Jack, Colby, or mild cheddar)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing the baking dish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Arrange the chicken pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheese and mix well.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbly.
- For a golden cheesy top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of cooking.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a pinch of paprika and fresh parsley before serving.
