Tender chicken pieces baked in a rich, creamy cheese sauce with a touch of sweet paprika for comforting flavor in every bite. This easy family dinner comes together with just a few simple ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or chicken breasts, cut into large bite-size pieces
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • 1½ teaspoons sweet paprika, plus extra for garnish
  • 1½ cups shredded mild cheese (Monterey Jack, Colby, or mild cheddar)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing the baking dish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Arrange the chicken pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheese and mix well.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbly.
  8. For a golden cheesy top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of cooking.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a pinch of paprika and fresh parsley before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or with roasted vegetables to soak up the delicious creamy sauce.
