Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks

 Ingredients
For the Filling:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (sirloin or shaved steak)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

For the Breadsticks:

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or homemade dough (about 16 oz)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Extra shredded cheese for topping

 Instructions

  1. Cook the Filling:
    • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add onions (and bell peppers if using) and sauté until soft, about 3–4 minutes.
    • Add the thinly sliced beef and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
    • Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup shredded cheese. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 12×8 inches.
  3. Assemble the Breadsticks:
    • Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side. Pinch edges to seal.
    • Cut into 8–10 equal pieces and place cut-side up on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Add Garlic Butter:
    • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over the breadsticks.
    • Sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top if desired.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
    • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve:
    • Enjoy warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce!
