Oven Baked 3-Ingredient Amish Golden Gravy Chicken
Ingredients
- 4–6 chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 packet chicken gravy mix
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
(some versions also add sour cream or heavy cream for extra richness)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Make the golden gravy sauce
In a bowl, mix:
- cream of chicken soup
- dry gravy mix
Stir until smooth and thick.
(This creates the “golden gravy” base.)
3. Prepare the chicken
- Place chicken in a greased baking dish
- Arrange in a single layer
4. Coat the chicken
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken
- Spread evenly so everything is covered
5. Bake
- Cover with foil
- Bake 45–55 minutes
- Chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C) inside
6. Serve
- Spoon extra golden gravy over the chicken
- Best served with:
- mashed potatoes
- rice
- egg noodles
