Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Pork Steaks and Potatoes
A simple, hearty comfort-food dinner made right in the slow cooker with tender pork steaks, soft flavorful potatoes, and rich onion seasoning. Perfect for busy days because everything cooks together in one pot with almost no prep.
Ingredients
- 4 pork steaks
- 1½ lbs baby potatoes, halved
- 1 packet onion soup mix
Optional Ingredients for Extra Flavor
- ½ cup chicken broth or water
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Wash and halve the baby potatoes, then place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- If using onions, spread the sliced onions over the potatoes.
- Lay the pork steaks on top of the potatoes in an even layer.
- Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the pork and potatoes.
- Pour in the chicken broth or water if you want extra juices or gravy.
- Add small pieces of butter on top for richer flavor.
- Cover with the lid and cook until the pork becomes tender and the potatoes are soft.
Cooking Time
- LOW: 6–8 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
Tips
- Thicker pork steaks may need a little extra cooking time.
