Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 prepared pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Taco Meat

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup water

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup refried beans
    or
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce (mild or spicy)

Cheese

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend

Toppings (Before Baking)

  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips or Doritos (for crunch)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

Fresh Toppings (After Baking)

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Chopped green onions
  • Sour cream (for drizzling)
  • Guacamole or sliced avocado (optional)

 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.

2. Cook the Taco Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Drain excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water.
Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Set aside.

3. Prepare the Crust

Roll out the pizza dough onto the prepared pan.
Brush lightly with olive oil and pre-bake for 5 minutes for a crispier crust.

4. Assemble the Pizza

  • Spread refried beans or taco sauce evenly over the crust.
  • Sprinkle half of the cheese over the sauce.
  • Add the seasoned taco meat.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • Finish with crushed tortilla chips and olives.

5. Bake

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.

6. Add Fresh Toppings

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, green onions, sour cream, and guacamole.
