Stuffed Crescent Rolls (Savory Beef & Cheese)
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 250 g (½ lb) ground beef
- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 100 g (4 oz) cream cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the filling:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
- Stir in garlic, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add cream cheese and shredded cheese, stir until melted and creamy. Set aside.
2. Prepare the dough:
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of filling on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up tightly from the wide end to the tip.
3. Bake:
- Place rolls on a lined or greased baking sheet.
- Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving:
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces (ketchup, mayo, or cheese sauce).
