SLOW COOKER BROWN SUGAR HAM

 SLOW COOKER BROWN SUGAR HAM

 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 fully cooked spiral ham (about 4–7 lbs)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can pineapple (chunks or rings, with juice)
  • 2–3 tbsp mustard (optional, Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 tsp ground cloves (optional)

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the ham in your slow cooker (cut side down).
  2. Spread mustard over the ham (optional but adds flavor).
  3. Rub brown sugar all over the ham.
  4. Pour pineapple and its juice over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours.
  6. Do not open the lid while cooking to keep moisture inside.
  7. Once done, let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
  8. Spoon juices from the slow cooker over the ham when serving.

 TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Use a pre-cooked ham (most store-bought hams are already cooked).
  • Slow cooking keeps the ham moist and tender without drying out.
  • Add glaze at the end if you want a caramelized finish.
  • Pineapple juice adds sweetness + helps flavor soak into the meat.
