 Slow Cooker Crack Chicken (Shredded Chicken Breasts)

 INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 to 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add the chicken
    Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. Season
    Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. Add cream cheese
    Place the cream cheese chunks on top of the chicken.
  4. Cook
    Cover and cook:

    • On LOW for 6 to 8 hours
    • OR on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours
      Until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Shred the chicken
    Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
  6. Mix everything
    Stir well until creamy. Add shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Mix until everything is melted and combined.
  7. Finish
    Sprinkle chopped green onions on top if desired.

HOW TO SERVE

  • On sandwich buns
  • Over rice or pasta
  • With baked potatoes
  • In wraps or tortillas

 TIPS

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier result
  • Do not overcook to avoid dry chicken
  • Add more cheese if you like it extra creamy
