Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
- 4 cups stale bread (cubed)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Put bread cubes in a bowl and pour warm milk over them. Let sit 10 minutes.
- Add sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in raisins.
- Pour into a greased baking dish.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden brown on top.
Creamy Vanilla Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp vanilla
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add sugars and cream, stir well.
- Simmer 5–7 minutes until thick and smooth.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla.

- Pour the sauce while the pudding is warm so it soaks in
