One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

 Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for noodles)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

 Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet or pan, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.
Add the chicken and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. Cook the Garlic
In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add Liquids & Noodles
Pour in chicken broth and water, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
Bring to a boil, then add the egg noodles.
  5. Simmer Everything Together
Return the chicken to the pan, reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until the noodles are tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Finish with Butter
Stir in 2 tablespoons butter until melted and the noodles are creamy.
  7. Serve
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

 Tips

  • You can use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
  • Add a splash of cream for a richer sauce.
  • Toss in veggies like spinach or peas for more flavor and color.
