Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball
Ingredients:
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 jar (2.5 oz) dried chipped beef, rinsed, drained & chopped
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Optional: chopped parsley or extra beef for coating
Instructions:
- Soften & Mix Base
In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy. - Add Flavor
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. - Add Meat & Cheese
Fold in the chopped chipped beef, shredded cheddar, and green onions. - Shape the Ball
Transfer mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into a ball. - Chill
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) until firm. - Coat (Optional)
Roll the cheese ball in extra chipped beef, parsley, or even crushed nuts.
Serving Ideas:
- Serve with crackers
- Toasted baguette slices
- Pretzels or veggie sticks
Tips:
- Rinsing the chipped beef helps reduce saltiness
- Let it sit at room temp for 10 minutes before serving for easier spreading
