Cheesy Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes on the bottom of the dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cream, garlic, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Pour a little of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle some cheese.
- Repeat the layers (potatoes – cream – cheese) until all ingredients are used.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm.
