Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings (Easy Comfort Food)

Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (for dumplings)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup milk (optional for extra creaminess)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crock Pot
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. - Add Vegetables & Broth
Add onion, carrots, celery, chicken broth, and cream of chicken soup. Stir gently to combine. - Season the Mixture
Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. - Slow Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender. - Shred the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the pot. - Add Dumplings
