Cheesy Ground Beef Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
- 500 g pasta (penne or rotini)
- 450 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until slightly firm (al dente). Drain and set aside. - Prepare the beef mixture:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. - Cook the beef:
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. - Make the sauce:
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, corn, paprika, black pepper, oregano, and salt. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened. - Assemble the casserole:
