Cheesy Pizza Pockets
Golden, crispy on the outside and filled with gooey melted cheese and savory pizza flavors on the inside. These homemade pizza pockets are perfect for lunch, snacks, or a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade pizza dough)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- ½ cup mini pepperoni slices
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Prepare the dough
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 6–8 rectangles or circles depending on the size you want. - Add the filling
Spread 1–2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on half of each dough piece.
Add a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni slices. - Seal the pockets
Fold the dough over the filling to create a pocket. Press the edges together and seal with a fork to prevent the filling from leaking out. - Add garlic butter topping
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Brush the mixture over the tops of the pizza pockets and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. - Bake
Place the pizza pockets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. - Serve
Let them cool slightly, then serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Tips
- Add cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use cheddar or provolone along with mozzarella for a cheesier filling.
- These pizza pockets can be frozen and reheated later for a quick snack.
