Deep Dish Pizza Cupcakes
Mini deep-dish pizzas baked in a muffin tin — cheesy, saucy, and ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 oz) seamless crescent roll dough sheet
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- ¼ cup mini pepperoni slices (or your favorite toppings)
- ¼ cup cooked sausage or diced veggies (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Cooking spray or a little olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Prepare the dough:
Unroll the crescent dough sheet and cut into 12 equal squares. - Form the cups:
Press each square into the muffin cups, gently pushing the dough up the sides to create little crust bowls. - Layer the filling:
- Add 1 tablespoon mozzarella to each cup.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon pizza sauce on top.
- Add pepperoni and any other toppings.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Cool slightly before removing from the pan. Serve warm!
Tips:
- Try different toppings: olives, mushrooms, bell peppers, or cooked chicken.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
- Brush the crust edges with garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
