Cherry Cream Cheese Cobbler
Ingredients
For the Batter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
For the Filling:
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). - Prepare the baking dish
Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly. - Make the batter
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter. Do not stir. - Prepare the cream cheese layer
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture over the batter. - Add the cherry filling
Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the top. Do not mix the layers. - Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set in the center. - Cool and serve
Let it cool slightly before serving. It’s delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Tips
- You can substitute cherry pie filling with blueberry or strawberry filling.
- Add a little lemon zest for extra flavor.
- Best served warm for a soft, gooey texture.
