Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Bread
This Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Bread is loaded with seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, and melty cheddar cheese, all wrapped in golden baked bread. Perfect for dinner, parties, or game night!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (500g) ground beef
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra meltiness)
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 loaf pizza dough or French bread dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (for topping)
Instructions:
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Once cooled, crumble into pieces.
Cook the Beef
Using the same skillet (leave a little bacon grease for flavor):
- Sauté the sliced onion until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until browned and fully cooked, draining excess grease if needed.
Stir in ketchup and mustard. Mix well.
Prepare the Filling
- Add crumbled bacon to the beef mixture.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
Assemble the Bread
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly down the center.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Fold and seal the edges tightly to form a loaf.
Bake
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
