Decadent, crispy on the outside, and irresistibly gooey on the inside — these Deep-Fried S’mores Ravioli are pure dessert heaven in every bite. Perfect for parties, cozy date nights, holiday gatherings, or anytime you’re craving a fun and indulgent sweet treat!
Ingredients
For the Ravioli:
- 8–10 large marshmallows (cut in halves if very large)
- 4–6 chocolate squares (milk or semi-sweet), broken into small pieces
- 8–10 wonton wrappers or fresh pasta squares
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water (to mix with the egg)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
For the Warm Chocolate Dipping Sauce:
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
If your marshmallows are large, cut them in half so they fit nicely inside the wrappers. Break the chocolate into small chunks — about the size that will melt easily but not overflow when frying.
Set up your workspace with the wonton wrappers laid flat and ready to fill.
Step 2: Assemble the Ravioli
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
- Place one wonton wrapper on a clean surface.
- Add about 1 teaspoon of crushed graham crackers in the center.
- Place a piece of chocolate on top of the crumbs.
- Add one marshmallow (or half, if large) on top of the chocolate.
Be careful not to overfill — too much filling can cause them to burst while frying.
- Lightly brush the edges of the wrapper with the egg wash.
- Place another wrapper on top and press firmly around the filling to remove air pockets.
- Seal the edges tightly using your fingers, then press with a fork to secure completely.
Repeat with the remaining wrappers.
Step 3: Fry to Golden Perfection
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 170–180°C (340–350°F).
- Carefully place 2–3 ravioli into the hot oil at a time (do not overcrowd the pan).
- Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
They cook quickly, so keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Step 4: Make the Chocolate Dipping Sauce
- Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Let it sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
If needed, microwave for a few seconds to fully melt and smooth out the sauce.
Serving Suggestions
- Dust the fried ravioli lightly with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm with the chocolate dipping sauce on the side.
- For extra indulgence, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with caramel sauce.
Best enjoyed fresh and warm while the marshmallow inside is perfectly gooey!
Tips for Success
- Seal the edges very tightly to prevent leaking.
- Avoid overfilling.
- Maintain steady oil temperature for even frying.
- If you prefer a lighter version, you can air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through and lightly spraying with oil.
Crispy outside, melty chocolate, and stretchy marshmallow inside — it’s like a campfire s’more wrapped in a crunchy golden pocket. Enjoy!
