Chocolate Fudge Cake (Ultra Moist & Gooey)
Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 packet baking powder (or 2 tsp)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
For the Chocolate Fudge Sauce:
- 200 g dark or milk chocolate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for shine)
For Topping:
- Chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
Make the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F)
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla — mix well
- Slowly add hot water and stir (batter will be thin — that’s normal)
- Pour into a greased baking pan
- Bake for 30–35 minutes
- Let cool completely
Make the Chocolate Fudge Sauce:
- Heat heavy cream until warm (not boiling)
- Pour over chopped chocolate
- Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth
- Add butter if desired for extra richness
Assemble the Cake:
- Pour chocolate fudge sauce over cooled cake
- Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles on top
- Slice and serve
Tips for Perfect Gooey Texture:
- Brush cake with a little milk or coffee before adding sauce
- Refrigerate for 1 hour for extra fudgy texture
- Serve with vanilla ice cream
