Dairyland Casserole (Creamy Beef & Noodle Bake)
A comforting, creamy baked casserole made with seasoned ground beef, tender egg noodles, and a rich cheesy sauce — perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (optional topping)
- 2 tbsp butter (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- In a large bowl, mix soups, sour cream, milk, cheese, salt, pepper, paprika, and seasoning.
- Add the cooked noodles and beef mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Pour into baking dish and spread evenly.
- Optional: Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and dot with butter.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
