Dairyland Casserole (Creamy Beef & Noodle Bake)

A comforting, creamy baked casserole made with seasoned ground beef, tender egg noodles, and a rich cheesy sauce — perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (optional topping)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  4. In a large bowl, mix soups, sour cream, milk, cheese, salt, pepper, paprika, and seasoning.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and beef mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Pour into baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and dot with butter.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  9. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

  • Add a crunchy topping with crushed potato chips or fried onions
  • For extra creaminess, mix in cream cheese
