 INGREDIENTS

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix (about 0.7 oz / 20 g)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz / 300 g)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for richness)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or parmesan

 SLOW COOKER METHOD (Recommended)

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle Italian dressing mix evenly over chicken.
  3. Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic, pepper, and butter.
  4. Place cream cheese on top (no need to mix yet).
  5. Cover and cook:
    • LOW for 5–6 hours
    • HIGH for 3–4 hours
  6. Once chicken is tender, shred it with two forks.
  7. Stir well until sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

 STOVETOP METHOD (Faster Option)

  1. Season chicken with Italian mix and pepper.
  2. Cook chicken in a skillet until fully cooked; remove and shred.
  3. In the same pan, add soup, broth, cream cheese, garlic, and butter.
  4. Stir until creamy, then return chicken to the sauce.
  5. Simmer 10 minutes before serving.
