CHEESY CAJUN ALFREDO PASTA WITH CHICKEN
Creamy, spicy, cheesy comfort food — packed with bold Cajun flavor and juicy seared chicken!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb linguine or fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook the Pasta
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
Season & Cook Chicken
Pat chicken dry and coat with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
Remove, rest, then slice into strips.
3️⃣ Make the Cajun Alfredo Sauce
In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and remaining Cajun seasoning. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar until melted and smooth.
Season with paprika, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
4️⃣ Combine Everything
Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
Top with sliced chicken and mix gently.
