Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites
Ingredients:
For the biscuit dough (choose one):
Option 1 – Store-bought dough (easy):
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
Option 2 – Homemade dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
- ¾ cup milk
For the cinnamon sugar coating:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For cooking:
- Vegetable oil for frying
or - Melted butter (for baking)
Instructions:
Prepare the dough:
- Store-bought:
Cut each biscuit into small, bite-size pieces. - Homemade:
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter until the mixture looks crumbly.
Add milk and mix until a soft dough forms.
Roll into small balls.
Fry or bake:
🔸 Frying (best flavor ):
- Heat oil over medium heat.
- Fry the dough bites until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Baking (lighter option):
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Place dough bites on a baking sheet.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
Cinnamon sugar coating:
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- While the biscuit bites are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
Optional add-ins & serving ideas:
- Dust with powdered sugar
- Serve with vanilla glaze or caramel sauce
- Add a small piece of chocolate inside each bite before cooking
