Ginger Water – Complete Recipe

Ingredients
Base Ingredients:
- 1 piece fresh ginger (about 1–2 inches / 3–5 cm)
- 1 liter water
Optional Version 1: With Honey
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (add after water cools slightly)
Optional Version 2: With Lemon
- Juice of ½ fresh lemon
Instructions – Step by Step
- Prepare the ginger:
- Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
- Boil the water:
- Pour 1 liter of water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Add ginger:
- Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water.
- Simmer:
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Cool and strain:
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the water to remove ginger slices.
- Version 1 – With Honey:
- When the water is warm (not boiling), add 1 teaspoon honey.
- Stir well until dissolved.
- Version 2 – With Lemon:
- Add juice of ½ lemon to the warm or cooled ginger water.
- Stir well.
- Serve:
- Drink 1 cup in the morning on an empty stomach for best results.
- Optionally, drink 1 cup in the evening.
Tips & Notes
- Ginger water helps digestion, bloating, and may support metabolism.
- Best results come with a balanced diet and regular exercise.
- Do not add honey to very hot water to preserve its nutrients.
- You can store the water in the fridge for 2–3 days.
