 Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders

  • 1 lb chicken tenders or boneless chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1½ cups breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying (or cooking spray if baking)

Dipping Sauce (Honey Mustard)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Mix everything together and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Instructions

1. Prepare the Breading Stations

  1. Bowl 1: flour
  2. Bowl 2: whisk eggs + milk
  3. Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + garlic powder + paprika + onion powder + salt + pepper

2. Bread the Chicken

  1. Dip chicken strips into flour (shake off excess).
  2. Dip into egg mixture.
  3. Coat well with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place on a plate and repeat.

3. Cook the Chicken

Frying Method (Crispiest)

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Drain on paper towels.

Baking Method (Healthier)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place chicken on a lined baking sheet.
  • Spray lightly with oil.
  • Bake 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air Fryer Method

  • Preheat to 390°F (200°C).
  • Cook 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

Serve With

  • Fries

  • Extra dipping sauces
