Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1 lb chicken tenders or boneless chicken breast (cut into strips)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1½ cups breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for frying (or cooking spray if baking)
Dipping Sauce (Honey Mustard)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- Salt to taste
Mix everything together and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Instructions
1. Prepare the Breading Stations
- Bowl 1: flour
- Bowl 2: whisk eggs + milk
- Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + garlic powder + paprika + onion powder + salt + pepper
2. Bread the Chicken
- Dip chicken strips into flour (shake off excess).
- Dip into egg mixture.
- Coat well with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place on a plate and repeat.
3. Cook the Chicken
Frying Method (Crispiest)
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels.
Baking Method (Healthier)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place chicken on a lined baking sheet.
- Spray lightly with oil.
- Bake 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway.
Air Fryer Method
- Preheat to 390°F (200°C).
- Cook 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
