Cream Cheese Pinwheel Sandwiches

 Ingredients (US Measurements)

  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz deli ham or turkey, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup canned corn, drained
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder or paprika (optional)

 Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Stir in green onions, bell pepper, corn, and shredded cheese.
  3. Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  4. Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the tortilla.
  5. Arrange deli ham (or turkey) evenly on top.
  6. Roll the tortilla tightly into a log.
  7. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  8. Remove from the fridge and slice into 1-inch pinwheels using a sharp knife.
  9. Serve chilled, plain or with dipping sauce (ranch or marinara).

 Tips

  • Great make-ahead appetizer or party snack.
  • You can substitute ham with chicken, tuna, or smoked salmon.
  • Keeps well refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
