CROCKPOT PIEROGI CASSEROLE WITH KIELBASA

INGREDIENTS
- 1 (16–24 oz) package frozen cheese pierogies
- 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Lightly grease the inside of the crockpot.
- Add frozen pierogies in an even layer.
- Top with sliced kielbasa and onions.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper over the top.
- Add cream cheese cubes and butter pieces evenly.
- Pour in chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until pierogies are tender and sauce is creamy.
- Stir gently, then sprinkle shredded cheddar on top. Cover and cook another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Stir in sour cream just before serving.
PRO TIP
For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream or swap cheddar for a cheddar–Colby blend — and serve with a simple green salad to balance the comfort
