Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice
Sweet, spicy, crispy chicken meets sizzling veggies and golden fried rice — all in one epic pan dinner!
Ingredients
Chicken
- 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup cornstarch
- Oil for frying
Bang Bang Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste )
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
Fried Rice
- 3 cups cooked rice (cold, day-old rice works best )
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss with cornstarch until well coated. - Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden and crispy (about 5–7 minutes). Remove and set aside. - Make the Bang Bang Sauce
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and vinegar. Set aside. - Cook the Fried Rice
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet or wok.
Add eggs and scramble lightly.
Add garlic and vegetables, stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.
Add rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir and fry until hot and slightly crispy. - Combine Everything
Add crispy chicken to the rice. Drizzle with Bang Bang sauce and toss until well coated. - Finish & Serve
Garnish with green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips
- Add chili flakes for extra heat
- Swap chicken for shrimp if you like
- Serve with cucumber salad for balance
