Pancake Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 cups pancake mix
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage
- ½ cup maple syrup
- Extra maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
- Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, egg, and maple syrup until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the sausage.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm with extra maple syrup.
