Butter Swim Biscuits
Fluffy on the inside, golden and crispy on the edges, and literally swimming in butter These biscuits are crazy easy—no kneading, no cutting, no stress!
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ¾ cups buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- ½ cup butter (1 stick), melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Melt the butter and pour it into an 8×8 inch baking dish. Set aside.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add buttermilk and stir just until combined (don’t overmix!).
- Pour the dough directly over the melted butter—do NOT stir.
- Score the dough into 9 squares with a knife (this helps with serving later).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
