Butter Swim Biscuits

Fluffy on the inside, golden and crispy on the edges, and literally swimming in butter These biscuits are crazy easy—no kneading, no cutting, no stress!

 Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ¾ cups buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick), melted

 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into an 8×8 inch baking dish. Set aside.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Add buttermilk and stir just until combined (don’t overmix!).
  5. Pour the dough directly over the melted butter—do NOT stir.
  6. Score the dough into 9 squares with a knife (this helps with serving later).
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm  Tips & Variations
